North Texas Family Law Firm
Divorce and Family Law Attorney in Collin County
The Law Office of Linda Risinger was founded in 1989 to serve clients in the Frisco area in need of family law guidance and representation. Attorney Risinger has shepherded our clients through the most challenging and most rewarding of family law matters, from divorce to adoption.
Decades of Experience Serving North Texas
Linda's 30-plus-year career as a family law attorney has brought clients from throughout North Texas to our law firm. We concentrate our services in Collin County and Denton County family law matters, but we often take on cases from the broader region — especially referrals from other attorneys.
Linda was born in North Texas. She has lived here all of her life. As a graduate of Southern Methodist University for both undergraduate and law school, she committed herself to serving the families of North Texas, but occasionally has taken cases elsewhere in the state. In 2021, Linda's daughter Megan Simpson joined the practice, adding another level of commitment to the clients we serve.

You Are Always Our Priority
Linda and Megan are not your run of the mill family law attorneys. They work with each client to gain comprehensive understanding of the unique issues affecting every part of the matter at hand and those that will likely come up in the future. While the firm has a wonderful support staff, you will not be shuffled off to paralegals if you need an attorney's attention.
We understand the pain of divorce, and we bring a unique perspective to your case as a result. We represent husbands and wives, fathers and mothers. As women who are devoted to their families, Linda and Megan recognize the challenges that mothers face, but they also know the importance of a father in children's lives.
Our firm is focused on helping each of our clients realize the full potential of their legal matters and securing best possible results cost-effectively.
If early resolution is not possible in your case, you will benefit from our years of courtroom experience. "It's my job to make sure my client's story is told on their day in court," as Linda says.
We Know Collin County and Denton County Courts
We are in a courtroom nearly every day of the week, advocating for our clients. With this experience in hand, we will prepare your case with the strength to meet your needs in a trial setting, even if your case can be settled without court appearances. This places you in a confident position in negotiations and mediation. We are your dedicated advocates, and we work tirelessly to see that you get the results you deserve.
Our team knows the judges who preside over our local courts. We know how they work, and we know how they rule. Different judges have different perspectives much like everyone else. When we build your case, we will take this into account.
Seasoned Judgment Produces Results
Good judgment is the ability to make well-informed, wise decisions that produce the desired outcome. In most instances, we are able to help clients resolve problems short of trial and avoid costly litigation.
We have deep experience in negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. Linda's training as American Arbitration Association mediator is an invaluable asset to our clients.
Easy to Reach and Responsive
We know that our license to practice the art and science of law is not just a business permit. We take pride in building lasting relationships with our clients. Because we are a small firm, dedicated to the practice of family law, you will always work directly with an attorney.
We are responsive and communicative at each stage of your case. Your case matters to you, and you matter to us.
All of our clients get their attorney's cellphone number. We know family law issues usually arise outside of normal business hours. We are responsive to your needs.
